Are you using AI in your day-to-day work life?
I use numerous AI tools several times a day and sometimes for hours.
My first AI tool was Grammarly, named by Fast Company as one of the World’s Most Innovative AI Companies! Many of you may use it too. From there, I played with one of the first generative AI blogging tools, Jarvis, now called Jasper. And, of course, ChatGPT, upon release in Nov. of 2022. Now, AI is integrated into most of the tools used daily by my team, from social media management, graphic design, and SEO tools to CRM, video editors, and even LinkedIn and Facebook.
I’m getting to know, like, and even trust AI like an intern who has proven herself. She edits videos and copy in record time. She researches, analyzes data, produces reports, and monitors changes. As if that wasn’t enough, she writes copy, designs images, and advises on strategy.
Sometimes, though, AI struggles. For example, when I requested an image of 3 women in a white convertible with the top down, they looked like they were from a sci-fi movie. No matter what I said, it just got worse. Hair was in the wrong places, and body parts weren’t sized correctly! It could be that I didn’t ask correctly, or it’s not smart enough. On the other hand, could AI be playing me? LOL. When researching for a social post about the invention of the phone for one of my telecommunications industry clients, AI gave me juicy details I couldn’t prove from further research. Did AI make them up? Probably.
Despite the occasional failure, the truth is that AI is getting more intelligent and more capable every day. The opportunity to leverage its speed to analyze, refine, and create is improving productivity and efficiency in my business, and my clients in IT are gaining a competitive edge. I love that.

PS I wrote this without the help of my dearly liked intern, ChatGPT, and with the help of Grammarly. 😉
